Charlene, a dedicated advocate for historically ignored and disenfranchised communities, aligns her passion with a mission to infuse Christian principles of righteousness and equity into DEI. With a background in staff development, institutional initiatives, and policy analysis, Charlene's anti-racist and culturally competent training reflects IB's core values. Leveraging her lived experience as a Black woman, she fosters transformative spaces for dialogue, strategic planning, strategy development and assessment. Charlene's goal is to provide transformative spaces for healthy dialogue and strategic planning through comprehensive frameworks. These frameworks, deeply informed by theory-to-practice, are instrumental in implementing organizational, institutional, and structural change.
As pragmatist and historian, Vvdaul Holloway brings a uniquely inspired lens to his role as Chief Policy Officer. With a decade of professional experience, Vvdaul has successfully navigated various organizations through educational administration, policy analysis, and nonprofit management.
Having a particular interest in the ways that DEI can be used as a theoretical framework for organizational change, Vvdaul leverages policy analysis and strategic development to help partners understand key insights and factors impacting their growth journey.
Pedro is currently serving as 9th Grade Algebra teacher at Baystate Academy Charter Public School, where he works with inner-city scholars from all around Springfield, MA. He focuses on providing them with a positive experience in and outside of the classroom, by connecting with the students and making the math curriculum relevant to them through the use of what they deem as their pop culture.
Pedro also teaching adults English as a Second Language at the New North Citizens Center in the North End of Springfield. De Jesus's mission for his ESL students is to provide them with a positive learning experience through the rigorous English language curriculum. He prioritizes making sure that his students leave his classroom with new-found confidence that'll allow them to interact and network throughout their community. Pedro notes that his passions stem from his lived experiences as a LatinX male.
